We just received a whole new shipment of Kanthas from India. Kanthas are Saris sewn together with a running stitch 

called a Kantha stitch. Made by women in 

India, they're all one of a kind and unique.

Come take your pick! Each one is special and gorgeous!

Susan's new Seal Point Siamese cat named Thai has found a new favorite sleeping place on top of a Kantha. We call him Thai Thai!

Thai was rescued by Stephanie from the Orange County Shelter in Orange, CA. He has settled in nicely and is now living a great life. 

Kanthas can be thrown anywhere and mixed and matched everywhere with all kinds of pillows.

A different Kantha thrown on the back of a small sofa just adds a little color.

John Robshaw Spring 2014 Event at Blue Springs Home

A Visit with John Robshaw..

We were lucky enough to grab John Robshaw for a few hours on March 6th to be here at the store for a three-hour event. The new John Robshaw Spring Collection 2014 had just come in. John was able to be here to personally autograph his books and tell us all about his beautiful new collection for Spring.

We love hearing Johns ideas on color and style! He's already busy designing his Fall collection. Gotta stay ahead of the game.

Stephanie and John both wearing the "Sag Harbor" printed shirt! Not available in shirts anymore, so these are real classics, but it is still available in sheets, duvets and shams.

The girls were ready for a busy day. 

Renae, Susan & Kathy all enjoyed John's visit.

We had plenty of books for John to personally autograph. This book shows John's many journey's during his travels and the amazing process of the making of his block print fabrics. We sold out completely, but we have more coming.

This was our front window bed showing the new Spring 2014 collection. "Pondicherry" is the new duvet shown on the bed. Bright and cheerful, its a great Spring pattern.

John loved seeing his "Duralee" prints on these mid-century chairs! The pillow on the chair is the "Khiva Seville" a 20"x20" pillow that works well with chairs and sofa as well as the bed.

We had a nice display out front of the store for the event with a sampling of John's new Spring pillows.

These new vintage indigo striped pillows just came in. We are showing them on a small sofa with an indigo throw on it. This indigo throw also looks great on a table or a wall hanging.

S.D.H Napoli in "Midnight" is such a beautiful, elegant statement. Shown with "Sefte" fringed Boucle wool throw in "Oatmeal." Gorgeous!

Another beautiful bed showing the John Robshaw Spring 2014 collection. This quilt has already become a favorite. It's the "Ginger Clay" quilt shown with new pillows in "Clay" color.
